Church's Min Group Times - 6
Bloggers, do your thing .....
Obviously, if there are still interpretation issues, you need to adaquately deal with them. So, give us your thoughts (post them in the COMMENTS section below) . . .
Our whole group was present for this meeting!! =]Today our group discussed about what applications we can use in our final presentation. We were bouncing ideas off one another as to how we may present it and plan on coming up with an informing yet awesome presentation.
So mr amazing teacher we had 100% attendance this past friday. We did some more applicating trying to relate the passage to what the church in thessalonica would have drawn from it. We struggled with this, but eventually came to a good conclusion. We also applicated in relation to us. Ir was hard to get more than one large application, but we came up with many smaller ones. All in all it was a good day.
This friday our whole group was present minus Dan-(bless his soul)... We began to talk about how to present our project and in what kind of format to use for our presentation. We came up with a discussion question to ask the class at the end of the presentation. We also set up a time to meet for our presentation outside of class hours(sorry Dan you could not have a say in it, so hopefully you are free at that time...) Friday was a good meeting time for us.
Hey Dr. Higley Our whole group was present on Friday. We quickly reviewed what we had been workin through the past couple weeks. Then we switched gears into the application of our text, and we discussed ways that we could apply Romans 12-15 in various ways in our lives. As we wrapped things up we brainstormed for a few minutes about how we wanted to make our presentation. Over all it was a productive group session.
Last Friday our group discussed applications we each had on an assigned chapter in the book of Galatians. The group discussion went well and everyone seemed well prepared for the class. We then discussed when we were going to meet next as a group to start working on our project.
Our group--in meeting on friday--discussed ideas for our mysterious project, rehashed our exegesis of Eph 4, worked on direct application which seemed pretty straightforeward. Paul (God through Paul) demands unity in the church. We also consulted a nifty commentary on the subject which confirmed some of our ideas and suspicions. Then we discussed whether church's min class counted as church and whether or not it would be unbiblical for Kate to preach.
Our group for James basically went back over our passage and noted some of our key points, how our churches show them and how and what needs to change so we can avoid having problems. We talked about Partiality, faith without works, taming the tongue, and wisdom. Then we talked briefly about putting some thoughts together for the presentation.

dear Mr. Crazy Awesome Higley,
Our group--in meeting on friday--discussed ideas for our mysterious project, rehashed our exegesis of Eph 4, worked on direct application which seemed pretty straightforeward.
