26 He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress,
and for his children it will be a refuge.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,

turning a man from the snares of death.

vs.6 A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain,
but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding. In order to learn more we must be a man of understanding. The scoffer has trouble becuase of his attitude. I need to make sure my attitude is appropriate.

Proverbs 14:26
He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.
This Proverb reminds me why I am here at BBC. I am here to fear the Lord so that I will have a secure fortress. I will also teach my children to fear the Lord so they can follow the path of Wisdom. This will be their refuge in good and bad times.

12. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Wow, this verse reminds me of the many times I have made decisions without depending on God...and when I did, I always regretted that choice.

23 All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. This goes with what we learned this week. This is because its talking about not being a sluggard. I feel this is important to God because He has repeated this many different times throughout the bible and we already know we are to strive not to be a sluggard.

I have found my self at fault of this many times. I fail to auctually put action to my words so some times I am a talker and not a dooer.

v. 12 - There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 16:9 - The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.
We can make all the plans that we want to, but in the end, the LORD has the ultimate and final decision in what happens - if only we would let Him handle it from the beginning most of the time our problems would be lessened!

Vs. 28- Whoever is s slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
Sometimes when I am in that moment of frustrating, I really don't think about the effects of my anger. I really wish that with my thought life I would be slow to anger because I obviously exhibit folly when I am not. This is a good reminder to me of the effects of anger.

A quick tempered man does foolish things...

Quick tempers are growing like weeds all around me. Occasionally I've given in myself, but I need to be careful and avoid training myself to be a fool...

19 Evil men will bow down in the presence of the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

now that's what im talkin about! this is what I've been waiting for. when is this going to start happening? in our life times we hope, right? something tells me this might be for a future time outside of this realm and i think im okay with that. all the better to be scorned for wisdom on earth then to be punished for foolishness in the afterlife. thats not to say this wont happen at all. perhaps a fool who recognizes his folly will come to you who are wise and bow down to you. be there to pick him up, dust him off, and show him the way.

Pro 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
There is a way(self will)and the accomodating of everything that seems to be good-but beware just because it appears good,if self is the ruling foundation-the end thereof is death. It remimds me of the scripture-He who tursts in himself is a fool;but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe
