Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Trust in him only, not anything else.-not in our education, not in our riches, strength, not in ourselves, not in what we do,not in faith

34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.
Sometimes it is so hard to live right for the Lord now because we never see the end results. This is an encouragement to me because it reminds me that God is a just God and He will do what he is going to do without asking us first :) This also motivates me to strive to live humble because that is what pleases God.

Proverbs 3:26 For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught - another one of the blessings of keeping "sound wisdom and discretion"( vs. 21) close to heart. What a comfort to know that I do not have to trust in myself, but that the Lord will be my confidence!

27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"— when you now have it with you.

this seems to make sense in a "common sense" way, but how many times have i thought, "im too tired, to scared, not in the mood" to talk to this person about "religion". in light of these vrses, what if tomorrow doesn't come...

Starting in verse 13 the passage compares wisdom to a lady and states that wisdom will grant the person riches and honor and also long life. When we seek after God we will be rewarded and that wisdom is greater than anything else imaginable. Also another thing that really hit me is that I need to trust in God through all things and not in my own strength!

No matter how poor or needy..the Lord knows. I should never withold my portion form Him, or from my neighbor. I should never seek the wayward path, no matter how strongly my need convinces me it might work...

My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, 12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Even the most obedient is not immune to sin, therefore it is necessary for God to use fatherly discipline to help us increase in wisdom. God wants us to walk in wisdom, but it is ultimately our decision as whether we decide to learn from God's chastening.

Reading this passage I see the need for us to take away our self-centeredness and put God in the place He should be. It is when we do this we can have peace and confidence.

Proverbs 3:14-18
These passages explain how important Wisdom truely is and how much we need her. She is more profitable than silver and has better returns than gold. She has long life in her right hand. She is more precious than rubies. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her. These really show me how better my life would be with Wisdom than without. These 5 verses really stuck out when listening to the NIV version.

Do not rely on your human understanding instead put God in front of all you do and believe He will lead you to where you need to go. Almost 2 years ago no I trusted God with my life. The freedom that choice made is indescribable.

Pro 3:7 "Do not be wise in your own eyes:....The practice of humility is a topic brought up over and again. I know I fail time and time again at being humble and Christ exemplified this throughout his life.
