34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.

"You who are simple, gain prudence, you who are foolish, gain understanding." (5) This shows that Wisdom cna be attained by anyone that wants to seek her.

vs. 13 "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverted mouth, I hate." Do I really hate wicked, evil things or have I learned to "tolerate" them in this world we live in?

The verses show that wisdom is available to whoever will seek it and want it. The wisdom offered is more precious then anything in this world.

We turn from seeing the end of the path of the Adultress, and look to the path of life with Lady Wisdom calling out.

We need to turn from our path of death and love wisdom more than death because She was born before the earth.

This passage shows that we have no excuses in our mistakes and wrong choices. Wisdom calls, and "understanding raises her voice." Wisdom is a precious thing we just need to listen and take hole of it.

"to fear the Lord is to hate evil" (v. 13). If the fear of the Lord (1:7) is the beginning of knowledge, in order for me to obtain knowledge is to hate evil. This verse is really convicting to me because I know that I have become "numb" to sin.

Vs. 33-Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it.
Not only are we suppose to seek wisdom but then we are not suppose to neglect it or store it away to where we will not use it. We have already been told in Proverbs that we need to not ignore instruction or wisdom but do it!

26 before he made the earth or its fields or any of the dust of the world. 27 I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,

i am forced to consider whether having wisdom has a relationship to having the Spirit. wisdom is certainly more than just a concept and these verses point me in the direction of, find the Spirit (i.e. receive Christ) find wisdom. i only know of three persons, concepts, or things that were there when the formation of the world began and it seems that wisdom was present.

Its interesting to understand the both lady wisdom and mistress folly are in the city at different places, and they both are calling out to men promising them something of great value. Discerment is key. The father who is speaking to his son(s), defends Lady wisdom's stand boldly. im curious if he every pulled a Solomon and tried to decifer what was good and pure, or if his father before him, before these proverbs were witten, guided him.

I simply love the visuals of this chapter, the creation of the earth from a third perspective is very beautiful in this chapter. Wisdom here is a separate entity from God, sometimes I feel wisdom and foolishness are separate ruling minds in me.

The call of Wisdom is spoken in Proverbs 8. Will we see her where the two paths meet? Will we listen to her? She is more precious than anything on the earth. She was here before time and still guides us today. Lets listen and follow Wisdom down the righteous path for she knows the way to God.

Fools learn prudence. I am a fool and I know I need to learn prudence. I have to keep my choices in check with scipture.
