Well mr coolest teacher ever
Our group met on Friday & we continued our expose of the passage despite Reston not being there. After finalizing our chapter outline we came up with a alliterated outline of the entire book to help us see how the chapter fits in the larger scheme of things. That took up pretty much the majority of our time. We then dismissed for spring break!

1 Corinthians 12-14

I am sorry but I am going to have to say that our group was very small for this meeting, due to the amazing thing that we call SPRING BREAK. I was not able to attend but I know that our group did a spectacular job at this meeting discussing things that would concern our passage. I think i will update you again soon about this day. =]

Our group was lacking. We were missing two of our members. The remainder of us took the oppertunity to participate in some bonding time and get to know each other somewhat. Our group has been thoroughly exegeting the passage and friday we took time to discuss the quotation of Ps. 68:18 and the role of the "captives" in verse 8.

Hey Mr. Higley,
Last Friday, we continued expositing the text and began looking at the themes in chapter two of Philippians. Becoming a servant, having a joyful attitude through serving, unity, humility, true character, heeding God's Word, and serving with the right mindset(God's character) were the themes we found in this chapter. We noticed that the themes of unity and rejoicing were continued or carried on from chapter one. For personal application, we gathered that the church needs to have a sincere, genuine interest or desire for growth.
The themes mentioned in this chapter are necessary for growth.

Hey Dr. Higley.
In our James passage we discussed how the passage related to us and what we've seen in churches. We dealt a lot with the partiality issue. We thought of some questions on how to deal with the problem and how it affects the church. We thought of some ways we had seen it in churches and thought of other ideas that we will be working on as we go through the semester...
We also briefly touched on how James talked about wisdom and how the people were looking at the future more than at the present. We will continue to work on these ideas.
