People obsessed with a “Crazy Love” are The Rooted ….. (Chan, “Crazy Love ,” p. 145).People who are obsessed with God have an intimate relationship with Him. They are nourished by God’s Word throughout the day because they know that forty minutes on Sunday is not enough to sustain them for a whole week, especially when they will encounter so many distractions and alternative messages.
God doesn’t want religious duty. He doesn’t want a distracted, half-hearted “Fine, I’ll read a chapter … now you are You happy?” attitude. God wants His Word to be a delight to us, so much so that we meditate on it day and night.
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. …. NLT (Psalm 1:1-6)
